Feel
the Warmth
With hydronic radiant heat, you get two types of heat delivery: Convected
heat and radiant heat. You'll remember from science class that warm air rises-That's
convected heat. In radiators, cool air typically enters at the bottom and
rises up through the unit as it is heated. This movement gently circulates
heat throughout the room. Now imagine you're outdoors on a clear, cold, calm
winter's day. While standing in the sun's Radiant rays, you don't seem to
mind the freezing temperature. You feel surprisingly comfortable, because
even though the air is cold, the sun's rays are able to heat you directly.
That's the radiant heat principle at work.
A Radiant heating system provides you with natural, sunshine-like warmth throughout
your home. Your hydronic radiant heating system consists of a heat-source
and distribution system, controlled by state-of-the art electronics. Your
heat source is a high-efficiency boiler that is carefully selected to provide
sufficient heat for your home. In concert with the electronic control system,
the boiler heats water according to the overall heating needs of the home
in proportion to the outside temperature. The warm water is then routed through
your floor to radiate heat upwards into the room. This natural heating method
enhances your comfort level in your home and saves you energy.
By heating your home with radiant heat, you will enjoy many luxurious benefits.
Unlike conventional "forced-air" systems, your hydronic radiant heating system
is dust-free and completely silent. By warming your home with a hydronic radiant
heat system, you will no longer blow pollen, dust mites and other allergens
around your home. Your hydronic radiant heating system will also save you
money as it uses less energy to maintain the same comfort level in your home
than a "forced air" system.
